Wild Swan Ranch Guest Bathroom
This guest bathroom received a total makeover! By removing the pink plush carpet and installing hardwood floors, and replacing the floral wallpaper by painting the walls a soft neutral color, this guest bathroom went from a very Traditional look to a timeless Transitional look. All of the dark wood made the bathroom feel heavy and appear smaller than it actually was. By keeping the existing doors and moldings but painting them white, we lightened the room up and saved the client money. Another way we opened the space up was by installing recessed lighting in addition to updating the wall sconces over the vanity. We kept the accessories to a minimum but added wainscoting along the back wall to add a bit of visual interest. We installed a pre-fab free standing vanity with carrera marble counter tops and replaced all of the brass fixtures throughout with new chrome fixtures from Kohler. My favorite part of this project was removing the shower/tub combo and installing a walk-in shower. The floor to ceiling custom tile work is absolutely …
